Short Description:
High Quality Whipcheck Safety Cable - Explosion-proof chain whipcheck Hose Cable Choker – Linhui Hardware Detail:
Whipchek – safety slings are a positive safe – guard for hose connections. These strong steel cables prevent hose whip in case of accidental separation of coupling or clamp device. “Whipchek” reaches across the hose fittings to provide stand-by safety for hose. Spring loaded loops in cable ends open easily to pass over the couplings for firm grip on hose, as shown. They have been thoroughly tested with years of service.
There are various sizes of Whipcheks manufactured by LH. All materials used for in the manufacturing process conform to SABS & ISO standards, Materials being the cable, ferrules ect.
Whipchecks are designed to help prevent injuries or accidents resulting from hose or coupling failure. A whipcheck extends across the hose fittings to give standby safety for a hose. Simply pull back the spring and slip the loops on the whipcheck over each hose before connection to provide security against hose whip.
Material: Carbon steel galvanized, stainless steel.
Hose Safety Whip Checks are recommended in all pressurized hose applications over 1/2 inch, in order to keep operators and job sites safe. To prevent serious injury due to hose or coupling failure, install a Whip Check at each hose connection and from equipment / air source to the hose. Spring-loaded loops easily adjust to slip over the couplings and maintain a firm grip on the hose. Also known as whip arrestors or hose choker cables, these cables are a necessity for all pneumatic supply hose applications.
Whip checks should be installed in the fully extended position (no slack) for proper safety assurance.
Hose Safety Whip Checks, along with pneumatic check valves and safety clips, are integral products for a safe pneumatic hose system. Regular inspection and replacement of worn components is also imperative in maintaining a safe system and workplace. Always replace whip checks if a failure incident occurs, as this can cause damage to the cable and connections.
